Before 'It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)', Mike did some thank you's and Michael took over to wish Happy Birthday to Joe O'Herlihy before singing a quick happy birthday. After a very long 'End Of The World' Michael stopped and sang 'Suspicious Minds', and then the band carried on with 'End Of The World' again for a few more minutes!.

notes: Michael told some funny stories before 'Fall On Me' (pointed to a spot in the audience and said he had seen Neil Young from that spot four or so years ago [I think he's referring to the 1992 "Harvest Moon" tour] and came away impressed with one song in particular, 'Pocahontas.' He called Peter that night and asked him if he'd ever heard the song, to which Peter replied, "It's only one of the classic songs of the last 30 years," embarrassing Michael) and 'Falls To Climb' (talked about learning to play the guitar and seeing Billy Corgan at a benefit, told him he had composed a new song with the chords he had learned. Billy replied "That's nice, but it sounds familiar," then came back later and asked Michael if it "sounded like this," playing 'Disarm.' Michael said "You fuck, not only are you taller than me, you went and copied my hairstyle as well!" He then lauded Corgan as one of the best songwriters around, then added that he wouldn't let it pass, so he added a vocal melody to the song and said "try imagining Corgan singing this one!") - Dean Hotta

notes: 'Camera' is played for the first time since 1985.
Before 'Camera', Stipe said: "Last night Peter & I & some friends went to eat in Carrboro, it was directly across the street from the first place that we ever played outside of Georgia, in July 17th of 1980, I think, The Station. So as we were getting carefully and slowly drunk on our delicious wine, we were rolling this around our head and decided tonight we wanted to play a song that we haven't played in 15 years. And these are the words, according to the internet, they're actually really wrong. But I don't know, they look really cool I think. Peter said and he's got a better memory of these things than I do, I'm not guaranteeing its going to sound like anything, this is not CATS, and this is not Mariah Carey here. Apparently the last time that we performed this song Peter said was in Winston-Salem. So that's pretty cool, that's where Mitch Easter lives. We hope you like it", & it was an amazing version as well. After the song, Michael said "well, that was kinda fun huh?, do you think we should offer that to Atlanta?, (cheering) OK, I take your advice" - Chris Hartstonge
