notes: Michael Stipe's 'Infinity Mirror' Exhibition Opening, from 6-9pm with Michael Stipe in attendance & he signed copies of his new book 'Volume 1'. The exhibition continued to 12 August 2018. The exhibit, which stems from his recent art book, Volume 1, “further expands on his use of photo-based practices to explore the 1970s as a formative decade through its cultural impact on his coming of age, and subsequently, the manner in which its influence informed the creative work he went on to create, both privately and as a public figure." Among the exhibition are shelving units dedicated to artists and writers including David Bowie, Andy Warhol, Allen Ginsburg, Patti Smith, & Jeremy Ayers. River Phoenix and Kurt Cobain are amongst the subjects of photographs in the exhibition, as well as a floor-to-ceiling wallpaper of an outtake from the 'Murmur' album cover photoshoot in Athens in 1982, which included Jeremy Ayers & Linda Hopper.

Mike Mills was invited & duly made an appearance joining in with the R.E.M. cover band on backing vocals on 'Man On The Moon'. Mike stayed for the remainder of the show & spent time afterwards talking to fans, posing for photos & signing autographs.
